Chinese Built-up Land in Floodplains Moving Closer to Freshwaters

چکیده
Abstract Human proximity to water and its dynamics are important understanding the socio-hydrological dilemma between using floodplains avoiding flood risk. However, previous studies have not distinguished of built-up land in (BLF) outside (BLOF). This article provides a new spatiotemporal perspective BLF proximities for changing risk China. The results show that China’s BLFs had an average 5.41 km 2014. Most (62%, 25.88×10 3 2 ) were located within waterbodies. متن کاملMonitoring the Built-up Area Transformation Using Urban Index and Normalized Difference Built-up Index Analysis
Makassar is one of the metropolitan cities located in Indonesia which recently experiences massive an increased construction because of population growth. Mapping the spatial distribution and development of the built-up region is the best method that can use as an indicator to set the urban planning policy. The purpose of this study is to identify changes in land use and density in Makassar Cit...
متن کاملEnhanced Built-Up and Bareness Index (EBBI) for Mapping Built-Up and Bare Land in an Urban Area
Remotely sensed imagery is a type of data that is compatible with the monitoring and mapping of changes in built-up and bare land within urban areas as the impacts of population growth and urbanisation increase. The application of currently available remote sensing indices, however, has some limitations with respect to distinguishing built-up and bare land in urban areas. In this study, a new i...
متن کاملExploring the Usefulness of Land Parcel Data for Evaluating Multi- Temporal Built-up Land Layers
The increasing amount of free and open remote sensing data suggests that a number of multitemporal land use and built-up land datasets derived from remotely sensed imagery will be made available soon. However, little research has been done regarding the approaches to evaluate spatiotemporal uncertainty of such products. Employing publicly available cadastral data with information on constructio...
